Black Friday

Today is Black Friday and I so much wish it was a different kind of day. I wish people would put the effort towards something less materialistic. I wish they didn’t spend hours in line to purchase a TV. I wish they would give $20 to charity instead of spending it on something they probably don’t need that bad.

But truth is, consumerism takes ahold of people’s lives, to slowly ruin them, causing blurred reality to strike back. Nobody needs 30 pairs of shoes, bags, rings… This Thanksgiving Holiday should be the one YOU change for the better. Go through your closet and realize the damage consumerism has done. It made you think you would be unhappy without all that stuff. But, don’t you still cry? Don’t you feel sad sometimes? See? The tons of clothes haven’t resolved any of your problems. But you can make the less fortunate a lot happier by giving them things they DO need: shoes, pants, sweaters, food.

Do a little:spend a lot less.
Thanks are given to you for trying to make others a bit less sad.

Forever Oprah

Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama & Michelle Obama

Today it’s everywhere in the news, Ms. Winfrey, queen of talk shows, will no longer conduct her talk show after Sept 2011. This gives me the exact impulse I was looking for all these years: to prepare to become the NEXT OPRAH. I have two years to evolve into the princess of talk shows.

We are both Aquarians who love dogs, to make people happy and hate surprises. We both have to hold back the tears in every show, but she succeeds WAY better than I can. But, this time, The successor of Oprah will be multilingual, bi-cultural and a mother. What do you think? Is the world ready for me? I can do this. I know I can. I know I want to.
Thanks for your support.

About Books

The Little Prince
Image via Wikipedia

I think it’s only fair that I give free publicity to my favorite books of all time. Maybe that will bring me luck in selling my eBook which is only $5. If not, at least it may bring someone to take the wonderful habit of reading. Not mentioned: Chuck Palhaniuk, just because I own everything he has written and it’s hard to select a favorite.

There is no particular order but these are my top 10:
- The Rage and The Pride, by Oriana Fallaci
- Before the Legend, The Rise of Bob Marley by Christopher John Farley
- The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery
- A New Earth, by Eckhard Tolle
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
- The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger
- The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra
- Siddhartha by Herman Hesse
- All Marketers are Liars by Seth Godin
- Blink by Malcolm Gladwell

So, there you have it. It was very hard to select only ten because there are at least 5 more that should be on that list, but, I did it. I hope you enjoy reading.

My eBook

Everyone who has feelings of complete devotion to love and despair and has suffered or not, should get my book.

Only 24 pages of very short poems and costs only $5! It’s green too, you read it on your screen and download it for print if you like. I thought it was nicer to mama-earth.

This is my way of making a living. Since I haven’t been able to find the ideal job, I decided to sell my brain… I have been writing for many, many years, it’s time I make money of it: my true passion.

THANK YOU for the support and spread the love.
